Joe Pyfer’s March 2026 second-round TKO of Israel Adesanya elevated the middleweight contender’s profile and positioned him for a step-up bout against established names in the division. A planned August matchup with Caio Borralho at UFC 330 fell through after Borralho suffered a rib injury, sustaining interest in that pairing among traders. Current rankings place Dricus du Plessis, Nassourdine Imavov, Brendan Allen, and Borralho as the most plausible opponents given their recent activity and standing relative to Pyfer. Du Plessis leads the market as the highest-profile former champion available, while Imavov’s and Allen’s recent wins and Borralho’s prior booking keep them in contention for an announced UFC Fight Night or numbered-card slot. No official next opponent has been confirmed.
