Arsenal enters the 2026-27 Premier League campaign as clear market leader for most clean sheets, reflecting their defensive continuity and recent dominance. The Gunners conceded just once across their opening three matches while posting the league's lowest expected goals against, building on 19 clean sheets and a third straight Golden Glove for goalkeeper David Raya in 2025-26. Their backline—anchored by William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães, and Jurrien Timber—remains intact under Mikel Arteta, who emphasizes rapid shape recovery and chance suppression. Manchester City and Chelsea trail in pricing due to solid squads and attacking transitions but show more vulnerability on counters compared to Arsenal's structured setup. Early promoted-side results, such as Hull City's shutouts, have not shifted the consensus, as sustained performance over 38 matches favors established defenses with proven records.
