Early-season results have kept the Ligue 1 runner-up race wide open, with PSG’s sluggish 0-2-1 start leaving room for a crowded chase behind them. Monaco leads the table on 10 points after four matches, level with Rennes, while Lyon, Paris FC, Lille, and Strasbourg sit just behind on strong form and goal difference. Pre-season models had favored Lens for second, but the current bunched standings and even xG metrics across mid-table sides reflect broad parity in squad depth, recent transfers, and fixture difficulty. Traders price the field tightly because no single club has separated itself after limited sample size, with injuries, managerial adjustments, and European commitments still likely to reshape the hierarchy over the coming months.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Ligue 1 for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Ligue 1 (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Ligue 1; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
