The primetime Sunday Night Football matchup pits the Chiefs (1-0), fresh off a 31-10 Week 1 rout of the Broncos featuring 220 rushing yards and Kenneth Walker III’s big performance, against the Colts (0-1) coming off a 41-23 defensive collapse to the Ravens. NBC’s Mike Tirico and Chris Collinsworth are expected to highlight Patrick Mahomes’ post-ACL mobility, the Chiefs’ ground-game resurgence at Arrowhead, and Indianapolis’s communication breakdowns plus third-down woes. Narratives around Jonathan Taylor’s workload, Daniel Jones’ efficiency under pressure, and Kansas City’s push for an early 2-0 start will likely dominate, alongside historical series context and the loud home environment’s impact on the Colts’ offense. Injury reports remain light, keeping focus on on-field execution and early-season momentum shifts.
