Columbus Crew host Orlando City SC in the 2026 U.S. Open Cup semifinals on September 16 at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field, a single-elimination matchup where home advantage and recent form weigh heavily on implied probabilities. Columbus ended a five-match winless streak with a 3-0 league victory over Colorado Rapids on September 5 but sit 13th in the Eastern Conference with a 6-12-5 record and multiple absences, including forwards Wessam Abou Ali and Sekou Bangoura plus defender Rudy Camacho. Orlando, eighth in the East at 8-11-4, has shown attacking resilience in cup play with comeback wins and a 4-1 quarterfinal rout of Atlanta United, though it carries its own injuries to Adrián Marín and Braian Ojeda. Head-to-head results have been tight historically, and both sides face defensive vulnerabilities that often produce goals in their encounters. Trader consensus reflects Columbus's home edge offset by inconsistent league results and roster depth concerns.
