Jayden Daniels enters the 2026 NFL season coming off an injury-limited 2025 campaign in which the Washington Commanders quarterback played just seven games, throwing eight passing touchdowns amid knee, hamstring, and elbow issues. A healthy Daniels could see his passing touchdown total rebound with a new offensive coordinator in David Blough installing more under-center work, play-action concepts, and two-tight-end sets alongside additions like Stefon Diggs and Chig Okonkwo to complement Terry McLaurin. The offensive line remains a concern after Laremy Tunsil’s triceps injury, and early camp and preseason reports highlighted protection questions that could force more designed runs or limit structured dropbacks. Traders are watching Daniels’ Week 1 availability and early-game efficiency as indicators of whether he can sustain a full 17-game workload in the revamped scheme.
