The 2026 Spanish Grand Prix at the new Madring street circuit concluded on September 13 without a full safety car deployment, producing the market's near-certain "No" pricing. A single virtual safety car was triggered on lap 15 when Lance Stroll's Aston Martin stopped in a run-off area due to a brake issue, allowing quick clearance without obstructing the track enough to warrant the physical safety car. The race remained largely processional afterward, with no further incidents, crashes, or debris requiring full neutralization despite the circuit's debut and street layout risks. Traders' consensus reflects the completed event's outcome, where only VSC protocols applied. In theory, a multi-car incident, prolonged blockage, or weather-related hazard late in the 57-lap distance could still have forced a safety car, though none materialized.
