**Bhayshul Tuten, a second-year Jacksonville Jaguars running back drafted in the fourth round in 2025, enters the 2026 season sharing early-down work in a committee backfield after Travis Etienne’s departure.** In his rookie year, Tuten posted 83 carries for 307 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns across 15 games (plus 10 receptions for 79 yards and 2 scores), though a late finger injury sidelined him for the final weeks. For 2026, the Jaguars list Tuten and free-agent addition Chris Rodriguez as co-starters on the initial unofficial depth chart, with third-down specialist LeQuint Allen (hip) expected to handle most passing-down snaps. Tuten cleared the Week 1 injury report after missing one practice with an illness and is set for the opener against the Browns. Head coach Liam Coen has not committed to a lead back, and analysts project a split that could limit any single rusher to well under 1,000 yards, with Tuten potentially seeing primary between-the-20s work but sharing goal-line and third-down duties. Tuten’s elite speed offers big-play upside in an offense emphasizing the run, yet concerns persist around vision, ball security, and pass-catching volume in a rotation. The situation remains fluid after Week 1, with early-season usage and any Allen injury developments likely to shape his season-long rushing total.
