Defensive backs such as Derek Stingley Jr., Jaycee Horn, Sauce Gardner, and Marlon Humphrey enter with proven ball-production histories and favorable coverage roles that position them for elevated targets, while linebackers like Tremaine Edmunds and safeties including Xavier McKinney and Kerby Joseph benefit from scheme fit and prior takeaway rates. Rookie corner Mansoor Delane and veteran Kevin Byard add depth, supported by recent trends in pass-heavy offenses and variable quarterback decision-making. High variance in weekly interception totals, combined with factors like injury risk, defensive coordinator adjustments, and opponent passing volume, sustains the competitive spread across dozens of viable candidates.
