Houston Astros hold a narrow lead in the AL West at 75-74, two games ahead of the Texas Rangers and five ahead of the Seattle Mariners with roughly two weeks remaining, which underpins their 68% implied probability as division champion. The Astros' edge stems from a stronger recent run differential and schedule positioning against weaker opponents like the Royals and Athletics, though injuries to Yordan Alvarez and bullpen depth concerns have created some volatility. Texas benefits from key activations including Josh Jung and Nathan Eovaldi, sustaining a 20.5% chance despite a sub-.500 record and middling offense. Seattle's 6.9% odds reflect a 70-79 mark and inconsistent results, including recent one-run wins over Texas offset by offensive struggles that limit realistic comeback potential.
