Justin Jefferson enters the 2026 NFL season coming off a muted 2025 in which poor quarterback play limited him to roughly 84 receptions despite his usual elite target share and route-running dominance. The addition of Kyler Murray at quarterback has fueled expectations of a rebound in Minnesota’s passing attack under Kevin O’Connell, with fantasy projections placing Jefferson around 89 receptions and over 1,200 yards. Murray’s mobility and arm talent are viewed as upgrades that could increase overall volume and efficiency, though early joint practices indicate timing between the new starter and Jefferson remains a work in progress. The Vikings’ wide receiver remains the clear focal point of the offense, with no major injury concerns or role changes reported heading into Week 1.
