Recent forecasts from Singapore's Meteorological Service and NEA point to a maximum of 33°C on September 23, with thundery showers developing in the late morning and early afternoon under prevailing southwest monsoon conditions. These localized storms, driven by daytime heating and humidity levels often exceeding 70%, typically cap afternoon peaks by increasing cloud cover and evaporative cooling. September climatology shows average daily highs near 31.6°C, yet recent days have frequently reached 33–34°C amid drier early-month conditions. The tight market split between 32°C and 33°C reflects uncertainty over exact storm timing and intensity, with official updates from MSS expected to refine the outlook ahead of resolution.
