**The recent U.S.-Denmark-Greenland security agreement, announced by President Trump on September 18, 2026, centers on expanded U.S. military access, basing, and overflight rights, a ban on non-NATO bases, investment screening to exclude adversaries, and affirmation of Greenland’s self-determination without any sovereignty transfer.** No official text or full agreement document has been released by the White House, State Department, or other parties as of September 20. Danish and Greenlandic leaders have confirmed the pact and stated it will be signed during the UN General Assembly the following week, after which it would undergo necessary parliamentary procedures before entering into force. Official descriptions from U.S. officials align with Trump’s outline of permanent security provisions, but traders assessing release timing focus on the gap between announcement and formal publication, the scheduled signing, and any interim leaks or joint statements that could satisfy market resolution criteria.
