Ashley Moody holds a strong 76.5% implied probability of carrying Miami-Dade County in the November 3, 2026, Florida U.S. Senate special election, compared with 25.5% for Democratic nominee Angie Nixon. Moody secured the Republican nomination with nearly 80% in the August primary after her appointment to the seat vacated by Marco Rubio. Nixon upset Alex Vindman in the Democratic primary through intensive field organizing. Statewide polling from early September shows Moody ahead by roughly 7 points, with over 90% of voters reporting firm preferences, while recent forecasts rate the overall race as leaning Republican. Miami-Dade’s recent rightward shift among key voting blocs and Moody’s incumbency advantage and fundraising edge underpin trader positioning, though Nixon continues targeted outreach in urban areas ahead of Election Day.
