The 2026 Chinese Super League runner-up race remains highly competitive with four rounds left, as Chengdu Rongcheng has pulled clear at the top. Dalian Yingbo holds a narrow lead in the chase on 40 points, but Beijing Guoan, Yunnan Yukun, Qingdao West Coast, and Shandong Taishan sit within three points, all posting inconsistent recent results amid a high-scoring league environment. Yunnan Yukun’s attacking output, led by top scorer Oscar Maritu, contrasts with defensive vulnerabilities across the group, while point deductions for several clubs and varying home/away splits have kept the implied probabilities tightly bunched. Remaining fixtures and momentum shifts will likely decide which side secures second and AFC Champions League Two qualification.
