Kimi Antonelli holds a commanding 81-point lead in the 2026 drivers’ championship after 14 rounds, bolstered by eight victories including a comeback win from 19th at Monza and his latest triumph at the Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid. Mercedes’ advantage under the new technical regulations has produced consistent front-running pace, allowing the 20-year-old to convert poles and strong race management into results while rivals like teammate George Russell, Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris, and Max Verstappen trail significantly. The market consensus reflects this dominance and the limited remaining schedule, though late-season reliability problems, unexpected DNFs, or a sustained surge from the chasing pack could still narrow the gap before the finale.
