Romeo Doubs enters the 2026 season as the New England Patriots’ clear No. 2 wideout behind A.J. Brown after signing a four-year deal in free agency and leaving Green Bay. Brown’s Week 1 ankle injury has already created short-term opportunities for increased targets and red-zone work with quarterback Drake Maye, though Doubs posted zero catches on three looks in the opener. His prior four seasons with the Packers produced between three and eight receiving touchdowns annually, with a career-high eight in 2023 and six in 2025 on 55 receptions. Key variables for his full-season total include sustained chemistry with Maye, competition for looks from slot options like DeMario Douglas, and Brown’s recovery timeline, all of which shape trader views on his touchdown upside in Josh McDaniels’ offense.
