Breece Hall enters the 2026 season as the New York Jets' clear lead back after signing a three-year, $45.75 million extension in May following his first 1,000-yard rushing campaign in 2025. The 25-year-old has posted at least 875 rushing yards in each of his last three seasons despite inconsistent quarterback play. A groin strain sustained in mid-August training camp initially threatened his Week 1 availability against the Titans, but recent reports confirm full participation in practice and an expected return to a heavy workload. New starting quarterback Geno Smith and offensive coordinator Frank Reich could alter offensive balance and passing volume, while backups Isaiah Davis and Braelon Allen provide depth that may limit Hall's touches in certain situations.
