This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed country officially recognizes Israel as a state between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. An announcement of intentions will not suffice to resolve this market to "Yes." Only a government's formal recognition of the State of Israel will count toward a “Yes” resolution for this market. The primary resolution source for this market will be official government information. However, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.Diplomatic normalization with Israel has advanced through upgrades to existing ties rather than new formal recognitions, with the most recent catalyst being the September 2026 agreement between Israel and Morocco to exchange ambassadors, open full embassies, and expand flights under the Abraham Accords framework. Broader expansion remains constrained by linkages to Palestinian statehood questions and regional security dynamics, as major holdouts including several Arab League and Muslim-majority states maintain their positions. Israeli outreach in Latin America and Africa has restored some severed relations and secured limited endorsements, such as Colombia's stance on the Golan Heights, yet no large-scale shifts have materialized since 2025. Trader assessments of additional recognitions by December 31, 2026, hinge on whether scheduled diplomatic engagements or U.S.-brokered talks produce breakthroughs before year-end.
