This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed country officially recognizes Israel as a state between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. An announcement of intentions will not suffice to resolve this market to "Yes." Only a government's formal recognition of the State of Israel will count toward a “Yes” resolution for this market. The primary resolution source for this market will be official government information. However, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.**Diplomatic recognition of Israel remains stable at roughly 169 UN member states as of early 2026, with the remaining holdouts concentrated among certain Arab League and Organization of Islamic Cooperation members.** Major candidates such as Saudi Arabia continue to link formal ties to credible progress toward a Palestinian state, a precondition reinforced by public statements and regional sentiment following the Gaza conflict. Recent expansions have involved entities like Somaliland and incremental steps with countries such as Venezuela or Colombia, but these have not shifted the core non-recognition group. Traders weigh U.S. mediation efforts, potential security agreements involving Syria, and any movement on Palestinian issues or Iran-related diplomacy as the primary variables that could unlock additional recognitions before year-end. Scheduled elections, summits, or policy shifts in key capitals represent the main near-term catalysts.
