The 2026 Tallahassee mayoral election will be held on August 18, 2026, to elect the mayor of Tallahassee, Florida. If no candidate receives a majority of the vote, a runoff election will be held on November 3, 2026. This market will resolve according to the candidate who becomes the next mayor of Tallahassee as a result of this election. Temporary, interim, or placeholder mayors appointed before the election will not be considered. If the result of this election isn't known by April 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting; however, if there is any ambiguity in the results, this market will resolve according to official information from the City of Tallahassee or the State of Florida. The August primary produced a tight runoff between Jeremy Matlow and Loranne Ausley after neither reached a majority, with Matlow at 36% and Ausley at 34% while Daryl Parks took 25%. This outcome, combined with a July poll showing Ausley narrowly ahead amid high undecided shares, has kept the November 3 general election probabilities nearly even in trader assessments. Recent campaign finance reports show Matlow outraising Ausley post-primary and holding more cash on hand, alongside endorsements such as from Leon County Commissioner Bill Proctor. Key issues including data centers, property taxes, and city commission dynamics continue to shape voter coalitions in the open-seat contest vacated by John Dailey.
