Israel’s cabinet approved limited ISF entry in late July 2026 for an initial pilot of up to 200 personnel from Morocco, Albania, Kosovo, Kazakhstan, and possibly Uganda, following UN Security Council endorsement of the Board of Peace framework and $206 million in US funding. However, actual deployment has not begun, with reports of delays pushing even small advance teams beyond initial summer timelines amid disputes over Hamas disarmament sequencing, Israeli withdrawal conditions, and force-generation shortfalls after Indonesia suspended its commitment. Ongoing ceasefire violations, restricted aid flows, and Israeli strikes continue to shape the environment, while no major new diplomatic breakthroughs or troop arrivals have occurred in the past month.
