Recent polling ahead of Berlin’s September 20 state election shows Bündnis 90/Die Grünen holding a consistent lead over the SPD. Latest surveys place the Greens at 16 percent while the Social Democrats range between 10 and 12 percent, reflecting the SPD’s ongoing decline from its 18.4 percent share in the 2023 repeat vote. The governing CDU–SPD coalition has lost ground overall, with the SPD appearing particularly vulnerable as the junior partner. Grüne candidates have focused on housing affordability, climate measures, and transport policy, maintaining steadier support. With the election only days away and no major late shifts reported, trader pricing aligns with these persistent survey gaps between the two parties.
