Incumbent Mike Carey maintains a commanding position in Ohio’s 15th Congressional District, an R+5 seat covering southwestern Columbus suburbs and rural counties, where his fundraising edge exceeds $3 million raised compared with Democratic challenger Don Leonard’s roughly $600,000. Most independent forecasters rate the race Likely or Safe Republican, consistent with Carey’s primary win and the district’s recent voting patterns. Recent polling shows a narrower contest, with Carey ahead by single digits in head-to-head tests that include a Libertarian candidate, yet the structural advantages of incumbency and resources continue to anchor trader consensus around an 78% implied probability for Carey ahead of the November 3 general election.
