A cold front advancing across southern Brazil is the dominant factor shaping trader sentiment for São Paulo’s September 23 maximum temperature, with current official and model guidance from sources such as the Met Office, GFS, and local networks pointing to a daytime high near 15–16 °C under persistent cloud cover and widespread rain. This represents a sharp departure from the month’s climatological average high of roughly 25 °C, driven by southerly flow and increased atmospheric moisture that limits daytime heating. The unusually wet September conditions observed so far have further reinforced expectations of suppressed temperatures. With the event only 48 hours away, the next model cycles and updated observational data from INMET will be the key catalysts that could shift the narrow spread among the 15–18 °C outcomes.
