**Forecast models from the National Weather Service and NOAA position a high of 72–73°F as the most likely outcome for Chicago on September 14, driving the 62.5% market-implied probability for that bin.** A northwest-to-southeast wind shift behind a frontal passage is advecting cooler, drier air under partly to mostly sunny skies, keeping daytime maxima below the late-summer climatological average of 76.7°F. Ensemble guidance shows tight clustering around the low-to-mid 70s with limited moisture return and only a slight overnight shower risk, minimizing upside potential. Updated model runs overnight reinforced this cooler regime, tightening trader consensus around the 72–73°F and adjacent 70–71°F and 74–75°F outcomes while assigning negligible odds to extremes above 78°F or below 68°F.
