Strikes tied to the Iran conflict in March 2026 physically damaged facilities in UAE and Bahrain regions, exceeding multi-AZ design limits and leading to permanent data loss in at least one availability zone plus ongoing restoration challenges confirmed in mid-September dashboard updates. This qualifies under AWS Health Dashboard "disrupted" criteria, unlike routine incidents. Traders weigh AWS's historically strong uptime record against rising physical and supply-chain risks, while monitoring restoration timelines, any follow-on regional outages, and whether additional classified events emerge before key resolution dates.
