Pete Crow-Armstrong holds a commanding lead in 2026 MLB Wins Above Replacement through mid-September, driven by his elite combination of power, speed, on-base skills, and Gold Glove-level center-field defense for the Cubs. The 24-year-old has posted a .281/.375/.572 slash line with 41 home runs and 36 stolen bases across 147 games while leading qualified position players in key offensive and defensive metrics. This production has created a multi-win gap over the next-closest contributors, including pitchers like Cristopher Sánchez and Cam Schlittler plus two-way star Shohei Ohtani. Trader consensus reflects the substantial cushion entering the final weeks, though a late injury, sharp performance decline, or unexpected surge in innings and results from a top pitcher could narrow the margin before the season concludes.
