Mark Andrews enters the 2026 NFL season as the clear lead tight end for the Baltimore Ravens following the departures of Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar, leaving him with minimal competition from Durham Smythe and developmental rookies. After a career-low 2025 (five receiving touchdowns, 422 yards on 70 targets amid efficiency drops), the 31-year-old was extended and is viewed internally as poised for a rebound under new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle. Baltimore’s scheme emphasizes formation flexibility, red-zone usage, and balance around Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry, which historically funnels targets to Andrews in the end zone. Recent camp reports highlight his health and motivation, though age-related regression in yards per route and overall volume remains a risk factor. The Ravens’ Week 1 opener against Indianapolis and early schedule will test whether increased opportunity translates to double-digit scoring chances or sustains the modest output from prior years.
