Jaxon Smith-Njigba enters the 2026 season as the Seahawks’ clear top wide receiver and highest-paid player at the position after a 2025 campaign that produced a league-leading 1,793 receiving yards and 119 receptions en route to Offensive Player of the Year honors. Seattle’s Week 1 win over the Patriots featured eight catches for 122 yards and a touchdown from JSN, though starter Sam Darnold exited early with a hip injury that could shift targets to backup Drew Lock in Week 2 and beyond. A new offensive coordinator and supporting cast including Cooper Kupp and Rashid Shaheed shape volume expectations, while the defending champions’ high projected win total and favorable schedule position the former Ohio State star for another heavy target share if the passing game stays efficient.
