Bayern Munich enter the 2026-27 Bundesliga as clear frontrunners for another title and an automatic top-four finish, bolstered by Harry Kane’s consistent scoring, the attacking contributions of Michael Olise and Luis Díaz, and summer additions including Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari under Vincent Kompany. Borussia Dortmund remain the primary challengers after targeted reinforcements and sit well positioned for Champions League qualification. The race for the other two spots centers on RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen under new manager Carles Martínez, and VfB Stuttgart, where squad stability, recent form, and European commitments will influence outcomes. Early-season results show variability, including strong starts from teams like Freiburg and Augsburg, but historical patterns and squad depth favor the established contenders over sustained surprises.
