The 2026–27 NB I season remains tightly contested for most clean sheets because the league features strong parity among established sides with comparable defensive structures and goalkeeping options. Early results show Ferencvárosi TC conceding the fewest goals per game while Győri ETO, Puskás Akadémia, and Vasas maintain competitive records, yet no team has pulled clear after roughly seven to eight matches. Long-term factors such as squad depth, European commitments that rotate players, and the 33-match schedule amplify variance, allowing mid-table clubs like Debreceni VSC, Paksi SE, and Újpest to stay in contention through set-piece organization and counter-pressing. Trader pricing reflects this balance rather than any single standout defensive unit.
