**Chris Godwin enters the 2026 season as Tampa Bay’s veteran slot receiver and primary chain-mover following Mike Evans’ departure, but persistent lower-body injury concerns and age-30 durability questions heavily shape expectations for his regular-season receiving touchdowns.** He opened 2026 with four catches for 40 yards and zero scores in Week 1 against Cincinnati while adding a short rush, and reports indicate he is managing a fibula issue that has already caused missed time in recent campaigns. Godwin posted just two touchdowns across nine games in 2025 after a season-ending ankle/fibula injury in 2024, though he showed flashes of prior red-zone efficiency when healthy. With Baker Mayfield under center and new offensive coordinator Zac Robinson, Godwin’s route volume and slot alignment remain strengths, yet competition from Emeka Egbuka and other young targets, combined with his injury track record, limits consistent scoring upside. Market pricing reflects trader consensus around these health and usage factors rather than any guarantee of volume or end-zone production.
