The 2026-27 NB I title race remains tightly bunched early in the season because defending champions Győri ETO, traditional powerhouse Ferencvárosi TC, and early leaders Puskás Akadémia plus promoted Vasas all sit within a handful of points after the opening eight rounds. Multiple clubs have posted strong starts marked by solid defensive records and efficient attacking transitions, while the triple round-robin format and 33-match schedule reward consistency over any single hot streak. Ferencváros retain squad depth and European experience that historically translate to late surges, yet Győr’s title-winning momentum and Puskás Akadémia’s current form create genuine parity. This competitive balance across a dozen sides keeps implied probabilities clustered as traders weigh recent results, fixture congestion, and the absence of a runaway favorite.
