Ongoing regional instability in the Middle East, including missile activity tied to the Iran conflict, remains the dominant factor behind the 57% implied probability that the 2026 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will proceed at Yas Marina Circuit on December 6. Formula 1 canceled earlier Bahrain and Saudi Arabian rounds and relocated the former to Sepang, while monitoring logistics and security for the season-ending Qatar and Abu Dhabi events. F1 leadership set a mid-September decision window and prepared European contingencies such as Imola if conditions deteriorate, though recent statements have reaffirmed the original calendar with both Middle East races listed as sold out. Recent form, driver lineups, or on-track matchups carry no relevance here; trader sentiment instead reflects safety assessments, prior regional cancellations, and the narrow window for any final calendar adjustment before the late-season flyaways.
