This market will resolve to "Yes" if the team winning 1st place at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2026), currently scheduled for October 15 to November 14, 2026, is a Western team. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A Western team is a team that qualified for the tournament through the LEC (Europe / EMEA), the LCS (North America), or the CBLOL (Brazil). Teams that qualified through the LCK (South Korea), the LPL (China), or the LCP (Asia-Pacific) are not Western teams. If the winner of Worlds 2026 is not determined by November 28, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the tournament is canceled or postponed past that date, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizer, Riot Games, via the LoL Esports website (https://lolesports.com). However, a consensus of credible reporting (e.g., Liquipedia at https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/World_Championship/2026) may also be used.**LCK and LPL squads maintain overwhelming structural advantages heading into Worlds 2026.** Multiple Korean sides including Gen.G, Hanwha Life Esports (MSI 2026 champions), and T1, alongside Chinese teams like Bilibili Gaming and Anyone’s Legend, occupy the top global power rankings and Elo ratings, reflecting superior depth, recent international results, and consistent domestic dominance. Western representatives such as G2 Esports and Karmine Corp from the LEC, along with LCS teams, trail significantly in these metrics and have recorded limited success against Eastern opponents in events like MSI and the Esports World Cup. The region gap, reinforced by LCK’s four Worlds slots and LPL’s additional berth earned at MSI, has produced no Western title winner in recent cycles and continues to shape trader consensus around a 90%+ probability against a Western champion.
