Early in the 2026-27 SuperSport HNL, Hajduk Split leads the table after strong recent form, but Dinamo Zagreb’s uncharacteristic struggles—including a rare league defeat—have opened the race for second place. Osijek, Varaždin, Rijeka, and Istra 1961 sit close behind with comparable points and goal differences after seven or eight matches, while Lokomotiva, Slaven Belupo, and others remain within striking distance. Pre-season roster adjustments and the absence of a dominant frontrunner beyond Hajduk have produced even implied probabilities across the field. With most teams still holding multiple games in hand and fixture congestion ahead, traders view the runner-up position as highly fluid.
