The August 2026 INTerpath-001 trial met primary recurrence-free survival and distant metastasis-free survival endpoints, building on earlier sustained five-year benefits and positioning the candidate as the most advanced mRNA skin cancer vaccine. Regulators have granted breakthrough therapy designation, with companies indicating a filing could occur within months and potential availability targeted for 2027. Recent accelerated approvals for non-vaccine therapies like Replimune’s Tudriqev underscore the competitive immunotherapy landscape, while other candidates face regulatory hurdles, keeping near-term approval odds modest amid typical review timelines and data verification needs.
