Alexander Zverev captured the 2026 US Open men's singles title on September 13, defeating Ben Shelton 6-3, 7-6(7-2), 5-7, 6-2 in the final to secure his second major of the year after the French Open. The top seed's consistent form across the fortnight, including multiple five-set comebacks early and straight-set dominance later, aligned with his strong hard-court results and head-to-head edge in recent meetings. Trader consensus at near-certainty for Zverev reflects the completed event and official result, with any residual pricing on alternatives like Casper Ruud attributable to pre-final positioning that has since resolved. Unlikely shifts could stem only from post-tournament administrative changes, though none are indicated.
