CS2 Majors maintain overwhelming dominance in peak concurrent viewers and total hours watched, with the IEM Cologne 2026 event setting records above 2.75 million concurrent and 100 million hours—well ahead of VALORANT Masters and Champions peaks that have topped out near 1.5 million even in strong years. Trader consensus at 96.6% for no reflects consistent 2026 data showing CS2 S-tier events leading in average viewers, watch time, and engagement despite VALORANT’s sometimes longer airtime, driven by CS2’s deeper historical audience, broader international bracket appeal, and stronger Twitch concentration. VALORANT’s regional splits and platform distribution dilute comparable spikes. Shifts remain possible if VALORANT Champions 2026 delivers unprecedented global growth, major format expansions, or inclusion of Chinese platform metrics that historically favor it, though current trajectories show limited upside for surpassing a CS Major.

"Qualifying CS2 Major" means either of the two 2026 Valve-sponsored Majors: IEM Cologne Major 2026 or PGL Major Singapore 2026.
"Peak Viewership" means the peak concurrent viewer count for the event's main broadcast as reported by Esports Charts (https://escharts.com), excluding Chinese platform viewership, consistent with Esports Charts' standard methodology.
This market resolves "Yes" if at least one qualifying VALORANT event's peak viewership figure is greater than the larger of the two CS2 Majors' peak viewership figures. The comparison uses each event's single highest peak-viewer figure across the full event.
If a qualifying event is cancelled or not held, it is simply excluded from the comparison. If no qualifying CS2 Major or no qualifying VALORANT event takes place in 2026, or if Esports Charts does not publish peak viewership figures for the relevant events by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No."
The resolution source for this market will be Esports Charts (https://escharts.com). A consensus of credible reporting may also be used where Esports Charts figures are unavailable or disputed.
