This market will resolve according to the next UFC fighter to be ranked 1st in the UFC Pound-For-Pound rankings, following Islam Makhachev. If Islam Makhachev remains #1 in the UFC Pound-For-Pound rankings through December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no next UFC fighter to be ranked 1st in the Pound-For-Pound rankings within this timeframe, this market will resolve to “Islam/No Next #1 in 2026”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the UFC (https://www.ufc.com/athletes).Islam Makhachev’s position as the consensus UFC pound-for-pound leader stems from his record 17-fight winning streak, two-division championship reign, and dominant unanimous decision over Ian Machado Garry at UFC 330 in August 2026 that extended his Octagon dominance. Multiple official and media rankings place the welterweight champion at No. 1 entering late September, reflecting sustained elite grappling and striking across weight classes with no recent defeats or prolonged inactivity. Traders price any change in 2026 as unlikely given his scheduled return window before Ramadan 2027 and the absence of immediate title threats capable of dethroning him.
