The Milwaukee Brewers hold a 90-56 record and a nine-game lead over the Chicago Cubs in the NL Central standings as of September 9, reflecting a dominant regular season with MLB's best or near-best mark, a +170 run differential, and consistent results in head-to-head matchups. Recent extra-inning victories over the Cubs, powered by timely hitting from players like Jackson Chourio, have reinforced their position with roughly 20 games remaining. Trader consensus at 96.6% for Milwaukee captures this substantial cushion and the Cubs' inability to close the gap despite their own solid 81-65 mark. An improbable Brewers collapse combined with a sustained Cubs surge represents the primary realistic path to altering the outcome, though the current margin and remaining schedule length make such a reversal highly unlikely.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the team whose listed nickname comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named the 2026 National League Central division champion per the rules of the MLB (e.g., they are eliminated in the playoffs), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”.
If the 2026 MLB regular season is cancelled, postponed after October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source will be official information from Major League Baseball (https://www.mlb.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
