Chris Godwin enters the 2026 season as Tampa Bay’s primary veteran wideout following Mike Evans’ departure, positioning him for elevated targets in Baker Mayfield’s offense under the new scheme. The 30-year-old has a lengthy lower-body injury history, including a season-ending ankle dislocation in 2024 and a fibula issue that limited him to nine games and 360 yards in 2025. Recent reports note Godwin received a veteran maintenance day alongside younger receivers dealing with soreness, though he has looked sharp in camp and is expected to open the year fully healthy. Competition from Emeka Egbuka and Jalen McMillan, plus a tough early schedule, will influence his volume, while durability remains the key variable for total regular-season receiving yards.
