The 2026 ACC rushing title remains wide open early in the season, with trader consensus reflecting a deep group of returning backs and early statistical standouts rather than any single frontrunner. Nate Sheppard has paced the conference—and nationally—with 374 yards through two games for Duke, while Mark Fletcher Jr. (Miami) and Isaac Brown (Louisville) carry strong prior production but face injury questions that have tempered their positioning. Additional contenders including Keyjuan Brown, Marcellous Hawkins, Kendrick Raphael, and Ja'Kyrian Turner bring proven workloads, favorable offensive schemes, and recent form that keep implied probabilities tightly clustered. Conference-wide depth, variable early schedules, and the potential for workload shifts or injuries sustain the even distribution across dozens of outcomes.
