Stephen Curry’s repeated public statements reaffirming his desire to remain a Golden State lifer anchor the market’s 95.5% probability on the Warriors. Entering the final year of his current deal and eligible for a two-year extension worth up to $136.7 million, the 38-year-old has emphasized ongoing talks with the front office while dismissing any interest in free agency or playing elsewhere, citing team-building dynamics and competitiveness as priorities. Recent comments from late September 2026 reinforce that contract structure and roster flexibility matter more than a change of scenery. The only realistic paths that could shift sentiment involve an unexpected decision to test the open market after 2026-27 or a sharp decline in team contention that prompts a trade request, though neither scenario currently shows momentum.
