Kyle Pitts enters the 2026 NFL season coming off a career-high 88 receptions for 928 yards and five touchdowns in 2025, earning Second Team All-Pro honors as the Falcons' primary tight end. A new three-year, $54 million extension secured his role, though Week 1 produced zero targets caught amid poor quarterback play from backup Cooper Rush in a loss to the Steelers. Tua Tagovailoa (oblique) and Michael Penix Jr. (knee) remain sidelined, limiting early passing volume while running back Bijan Robinson absorbs heavy usage; their potential return as soon as Week 2 against the Panthers could restore Pitts' target share alongside wide receiver Drake London. Schedule strength, offensive line protection, and competition for looks in Kevin Stefanski's scheme remain key variables for his season-long yardage total.
