That ceasefire has held with limited violations along the Line of Control, though both nations have continued military modernization, including missile tests and command restructuring. In June 2026, Pakistan's airstrikes in Afghanistan drew sharp Indian condemnation as a regional destabilizer, but produced no direct bilateral escalation. Traders assessing near-term Indian strikes focus on the absence of fresh cross-border terrorist incidents or major provocations since the 2025 conflict, alongside diplomatic channels that helped contain prior clashes. Scheduled diplomatic engagements or new security incidents within the resolution window could still shift sentiment.
