Emeka Egbuka enters the 2026 season as the Buccaneers’ clear lead wide receiver following Mike Evans’ departure, with expectations for an elevated target share in Zac Robinson’s offense. As a rookie in 2025, he posted 63 receptions for 938 yards and six touchdowns across 17 games despite a midseason hamstring issue that reduced his efficiency and route share late in the year. A toe sprain limited his training camp work, but he was a full participant ahead of Week 1 and delivered 5 catches for 63 yards on six targets in a loss to the Bengals. With Jalen McMillan nursing a knee issue and Chris Godwin managing his own injury history, Egbuka’s early volume and health will shape his path to surpassing or falling short of typical sophomore receiving yard benchmarks.
