Emeka Egbuka enters the 2026 season as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ clear lead wide receiver following Mike Evans’ departure to San Francisco, positioning him for elevated target volume alongside Baker Mayfield. As a rookie in 2025, he posted 63 receptions for 938 yards and six touchdowns despite a midseason hamstring issue that contributed to a second-half slowdown. Entering 2026 fully healthy after a preseason toe sprain, Egbuka has practiced without limitations and is cleared for the Week 1 opener against Cincinnati. Fellow wideout Jalen McMillan’s doubtful status with a knee injury further boosts Egbuka’s early workload in an offense expected to feature him across alignments. Trader sentiment reflects these developments alongside questions about sustained health, supporting cast production from Chris Godwin and rookies, and the Buccaneers’ overall passing efficiency over a full 17-game schedule.
