Bryce Young has opened the 2026 NFL season with a career-best pace, throwing for 1,268 yards and nine touchdowns through four games while leading the league in passing yards and completions of 10-plus yards. The Panthers' offense under Dave Canales has increased pass rate and deep-ball attempts, allowing Young to exploit mismatches with emerging target Tetairoa McMillan amid injuries to Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette. A minor knee issue from Week 3 did not sideline him, and he delivered 329 yards and two scores in a primetime win over Detroit. Carolina sits at 2-2 entering its Week 5 bye before a schedule featuring the Eagles and other defenses that could test the sustainability of his efficiency gains and volume.
